Bach Competition

If you applied for the 2016 Bach Competition, please email a copy of all application information (name, date of birth, address, musical selection, etc.) to dnewby@avc.edu

Gail Newby Concerto Competition

If you applied for or are preparing to apply for the 2016 Gail Newby Competition, please email a copy of all application information (name, date of birth, address, musical selection, etc.) to dnewby@avc.edu

Applications for the 2016 Gail Newby Concerto Competition will continue to be accepted through our extended deadline of Wednesday, February 3.  Audition times will be emailed to contestants on Thursday, February 4.

Auditions: Saturday, February 6, beginning at 10 a.m.
Performance Date: TBA
Open to pianists and instrumentalists age 18 and under (two age groups)
Winners perform music of J.S. Bach as a prelude to an AVSO concert

Gail Newby Concerto Competition

Application deadline: Friday, January 29, 2016
Instrumental auditions: Sunday, February 14, beginning at 2 p.m.
Piano auditions: Saturday, February 13, beginning at 10 a.m.
Performance Date: TBA
Open to pianists and instrumentalists age 25 and under.
Winners perform a single concerto movement with the Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra
